A library of synthetic full-length Max transcription factor variants with distinct modifications was prepared to investigate the impact Ser phosphorylation, as reported by Ariel Afek, Muhammad Jbara et al. in their Research Article (e202310913). Comprehensive DNA binding analysis and high-throughput screening revealed that phosphorylation pattern plays a crucial role DNA-binding activity but does not affect sequence specificity.
